دیدگاه پیتر برگر به بحران معنای زندگی در جوامع مدرن

The meaning of life is one of the deepest human needs. Therefore it seems that the research about its situation in modern societies is very important. The modern era has given many blessings to human and has worked successfully in many dimensions of human welfare but among a wide range of social analysts from Emile Durkheim in the division of social labor to Manuel Castells in the second volume of the rise of the network society this the consensus is evident that we are facing a pervasive and lasting crisis of identity and meaning. In this article Peter Berger's perspective on the crisis of the meaning of life in the modern world is specifically discussed. The interpretative textual research method is inspired by John Plamenatz and this way of insisting on the application of the theoretical structure that guides the research in theoretical studies can be considered a relatively novel part in this article especially considering Plamenatz's point of view. The main results of this research indicate that Berger's view on the crisis of meaning in modern societies evolves in three stages and his third view is more coherent and comprehensive than the first two views.
