Online Submission 

The journal of Philosophy of Religion Research uses online submission only. Authors should submit their manuscript online via journal’s portal: https://prrj.journals.isu.ac.ir/?lang=en . First-time users of journal’s portal need to register first. Go to the website and click on the "Register" link on top right corner. Enter the information requested. During registration, you can fill in your username and password If you should forget your Username and Password, click on the "Forgot Password" link in the login section, and enter e-mail address exactly as you had entered it when you registered. Your access codes will then be e-mailed to you. When submitting via the website, you will be guided stepwise through the creation and uploading of the various files. A revised document is uploaded the same way as the initial submission. All correspondence, including the editor’s request for revision and final decision, is registered in your account.

The journal of Philosophy of Religion Research uses a double-blinded peer review system, which means that manuscript author(s) do not know who the reviewers are, and that reviewers do not know the names of the author(s). When you upload your article via journal’s portal (in the “Attach Files” section), four files are mandatory: 1. manuscript main file (without author(s) name(s)), 2. title page (including the full title of the manuscript, the names and complete contact details of all authors: institutional affiliation and e-mail.), 3. cover letter (download), 4.Authorship and Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form (upload the cover letter again). All files except title page should not contain any information concerning author names, institutions, etc. Please be careful to choose the correct “File Type” category. To upload any other types of file, choose the category “supplementary files”.

Submission Requirements 

Language 

Manuscripts should be written in English. Spelling (British or American) should be consistent throughout. Avoid using contractions: e.g., 'cannot' rather than 'can't'. 

Length 

Original and review article submissions should be no less than 3000 words in length and no more than 8,000. For the book review the length is between 2000 to 3000 words.

 Manuscript Format and Structure 

File Format 

The file format for submissions is MS Word (.doc, docx). The page size is A4 and whole text should be typed in Times New Roman font (font size: 11 for body and 9 for endnotes and bibliography).

Abstract and Keywords 

Submissions should include an abstract (no less than 150 words and no more than 250 words) along with 3-5 keywords.

Titling

All titles and subtitles in the manuscript should be arranged numerically (English numbers not Roman).

Block Quotes 

All quotes three lines in length or more should be set out from the text and indented, leaving one blank line of text above and below. In all quotations, the exact spelling and punctuation of the original must be adhered to faithfully unless clearly enclosed in square brackets [ ], not round ones ( ). 

Italics 

Do not use bold in the text: use italics instead. Keep its use to a minimum.  

Endnotes

All marginal but useful and important notes should be mentioned as endnotes not footnotes.

References 

All references (in-text and reference list) should follow the 16^th edition of Chicago citation style. Some examples are as follows:

Publication 

Proofs 

Upon acceptance, a PDF of the article proofs will be sent to authors of articles and book reviews by e-mail to check carefully for factual and typographic errors. Authors are responsible for checking these proofs and are strongly urged to make use of the Comment & Markup toolbar to note their corrections directly on the proofs. At this stage in the production process only minor corrections are allowed. Alterations to the original manuscript at this stage will result in considerable delay in publication and, therefore, are not accepted unless charged to the author. Proofs should be returned within 4 working days of receipt. 

Transfer of Copyright 

By submitting a manuscript, the author agrees that the copyright for the article is transferred to the publisher if and when the article is accepted for publication, and the article has not been hitherto published by any other publishers.
