The uncertainty regarding the prevalence of NDEs, their specific components, and the precise timing of their occurrence are among the most significant ambiguities. This paper, after reviewing various definitions of the term "near-death experience" and explaining the aforementioned ambiguities, examines the philosophical implications of these uncertainties, particularly in relation to supernatural explanations. The findings suggest that most NDEs are more closely associated with altered states of consciousness than with death itself. Consequently, the use of the term "near-death experience" for many alleged cases should be approached with skepticism. The ambiguity surrounding the specific components of NDEs, which is complicated by the problem of cluster structures, not only challenges researchers in identifying the essential elements of the experience but also makes it difficult for proponents of supernatural explanations to substantiate their claims. Furthermore, the difficulty in determining the precise timing of NDEs—often dependent on verifying so-called out-of-body observations—poses a potential challenge for advocates of supernatural explanations. <span lang="FA">با وجود نیم قرن بحث و بررسی درباره تجربه‌های نزدیک به مرگ، هنوز ابعاد و زوایایی از این پدیده، مبهم و نامعلوم به نظر می‌رسد. ابهام در باب میزان شیوع تجربه نزدیک به مرگ، مؤلفه‌های اختصاصی آن و نیز زمان دقیق وقوع این تجربه در زمره مهم‌ترین ابهامات موجود است. در نوشتار پیش رو، پس از بررسی اقسام تعاریف ناظر به اصطلاح «تجربه نزدیک به مرگ» و توضیح ابهامات پیش‌گفته، دلالت‌های فلسفی این ابهامات، به‌ویژه در ارتباط با تبیین‌های فراطبیعت‌گرایانه، محل بحث و تأمل قرار گرفته است. نتایج بررسی‌ها نشان می‌دهد که اغلب تجربه‌های نزدیک به مرگ بیش‌از آن که لزوماً با مرگ ارتباط داشته باشند، با حالت‌های تغییریافته آگاهی در ارتباط‌اند و از این رو در به‌کارگیری اصطلاح «تجربه نزدیک به مرگ» درباره بسیاری از مواردِ ادعایی باید به دیده تردید نگریست. ابهام در مؤلفه‌های اختصاصی تجربه نزدیک به مرگ، که با مشکل ساختار خوشه‌ای روبرو است، علاوه بر آن که پژوهشگران را در تعیین هسته اصلی تجربه با مشکل روبرو می‌کند، مدافعان تبیین‌های فراطبیعت‌گرایانه را در اثبات مدعای خود با دشواری روبرو خواهد کرد. دشواری تعیین زمان دقیق وقوع تجربه نزدیک به مرگ نیز، که موقوف اثبات مشاهداتِ به‌اصطلاح عینیِ خارج از کالبد است، به نحو بالقوه می‌تواند چالشی پیش روی مدافعان تبیین‌های فراطبیعت‌گرایانه باشد. </span> https://prrj.isu.ac.ir/article_78175_d58892501363fc735d3c12592162e3c2.pdf
